HV42: Rosa Rugosa At Pemaquid Light
"Pemaquid Point Lighthouse is a popular and oft-photographed lighthouse still in use and open to the public. It is located near Bristol in midcoast Maine and was commissioned by John Quincy Adams in 1827. 'Rosa Rugosa', also known as the 'Sea Rose' is a well-loved sight in many locations near the Maine seacoast and while used to control erosion, is technically an invasive species.
The image used for printing is from a high-resolution scan of the original oil painting that I created on a 12" x 16" linen-covered wooden panel in 2025." -- Henry Vaughan
