HV44: Low Tide Near Lookout Point
On the west side of Harpswell, a self-described "Working Waterfront Community" located a few miles south of Brunswick (Maine), a picturesque small peninsula named Lookout Point juts into Middle Bay (a sub-area of Casco Bay). Adjacent to this small peninsula are two small islands that are connected to the peninsula for a few hours each day at low tide. This painting shows the east side of the left island and its exposed seaweed that can be seen at low tide.
The image used for printing is from a high-resolution scan of the original oil painting that I created on a 12" x 16" linen-covered wooden panel in 2025." -- Henry Vaughan
