HV04: Watching Bald Eagle
"After the time-consuming effort in creating my second painting, I decided to experiment with using fast-drying acrylic paints in lieu of slow-drying oil paints. While on a camping trip in a small travel trailer in July 1976, I made this smaller painting to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the USA. While it was an interesting experiment, I decided that I preferred to use oil paints and have done so ever since.
The image used for printing is from a high-resolution scan of the original acrylic painting that I created on a 10" x 14" canvas-covered cardboard panel in 1976." -- Henry Vaughan
