"For my second painting, I decided to work from a colorful flower photograph that I found in a seed catalog and to show the flowers against some rough wooden siding. In doing so, I also found out that painting flowers and rough siding both involved a lot of time-consuming detail work.
The image used for printing is from a high-resolution photograph of the original oil painting that I created on a 16" x 20" canvas-covered cardboard panel in 1968." -- Henry Vaughan
